The New Castle County Police Department is responsible for interacting with each community to develop the mutual respect and trust necessary to create a secure community environment.
The primary objective of the Community Services Unit is to increase community awareness and involvement, as well as to reduce each resident's goal potential for victimization. The unit hopes to realize this goal through a program of education, participation and coordination of the various segments of the criminal justice system and the public.
The Community Services Unit will provide the communities with various programs, information and crime statistics, which will enable each resident to make sound judgments regarding his or her personal safety, as well as that of the community. The unit will also strive to provide the information and assistance necessary to improve the daily life in our communities
