Armed Home Invasion, 4 PhiladelphiaMen Arrested

New Castle County Police have arrested three adult males and one juvenile male who robbed and pistol whipped a man in the parking lot of his apartment complex.  The suspects then forced the victim into his home and held him and three other victims at gunpoint while they rifled through his residence.  County Police arrived within moments of a report and arrested all four men after they attempted to escape and hide in another occupied apartment.

Homicide Investigation, Suspect Identified

New Castle County Police have arrest warrants on file for Carl R. Dean, a 20 year old male who resides in the 100 block of E. 25^th Street in Wilmington.  He is presently wanted for murder and related weapon offenses after he shot Andre Ferrell multiple times while he (Ferrell) was with his girlfriend and two small children (ages 2 and 3).  Police have learned Dean had previously shot the victim multiple times during a dispute in the City of Wilmington in January 2006.  He is also wanted by the Wilmington Police Department for attempted murder stemming from that incident.

New Castle County Police have arrested John P. Gillen, a 42 year old male who resides in the unit block of Scottie Lane in New Castle.  He has been charged with several hate crimes and weapon related offenses after he intentionally threatened a family with a knife because of their race.

(Middletown, DE)  In response to recent crime trends in Middletown, New Castle County Police will present training for the managers and drivers of seven pizza delivery establishments Wednesday evening.  The free training will provide information for the management on how to prevent robberies of delivery persons and what to do in the event an employee has been robbed.

New Castle County Safe Streets Officers arrested a Townsend, DE, man last evening after they discovered a significant amount of cocaine, marijuana and prescription pills inside his home.  Paul Allen, a 34 year old male who resides in the 100 block of Blackbird Station Road, has been charged with trafficking drugs and related offenses after probation officers found he was in possession of more than 222 grams of cocaine.

New Castle County Police have arrested Antoine L. Money, a 28 year old male who resides in the unit block of Lyons Avenue in the community of Overview Gardens.  He has been charged with raping a 12 year old girl.   

Teen Charged with Indecent Exposure

New Castle County Police have arrested a 17 year old male who resides in the 100 block of Congressional Drive in Wilmington.  He has been charged with two counts of indecent exposure after he exposed himself to two women on two separate occasions in the Greenville Place Apartments. 

Man Charged with Providing Hallucinogens to Minors

New Castle County Police have arrested David Barr, a 39 year old male who resides in the unit block of E. Stephens Drive in Newark.  He has been charged with providing hallucinogens to two 14 year old twin brothers who required hospital treatment due to the effects of the drug.

New Castle County Police have arrested James Edler, a 57 year old male who resides in the unit block of Glenrich Avenue in Wilmington.  He has been charged with raping and photographing an 11 year old female who was related to friends of the suspect. 

Woman Charged with Defrauding Seniors

New Castle County Police have arrested two women who were hired as care givers for an elderly Wilmington couple.  The suspects have been charged with multiple counts of theft, forgery, and unlawful use of a credit card after they stole more than $7,300 from the couple.
